These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website and services provided by Starr Disability Advocates, LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.

Starr Disability Advocates provides non-attorney disability advocacy services related to Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) claims, including:

  • Communication with the Social Security Administration
  • Development of supporting documentation

We are not a law firm unless explicitly stated in a separate written agreement.

2. No Guarantee of Benefits

We do not guarantee approval of benefits.

Social Security determinations are made solely by the Social Security Administration and Administrative Law Judges. Past outcomes do not predict future results.

3. Formation of Representation

Submission of information through our website, contact form, email, phone, or SMS does not create a representative-client relationship.

Representation begins only after:

  1. We determine your case is appropriate for representation, and
  2. Required Social Security authorization forms are signed, and
  3. A formal agreement is executed where required.

4. Client Responsibilities

By engaging our services, you agree to:

  • Provide truthful and complete information
  • Notify us of changes in address, phone number, medical treatment, or employment
  • Respond promptly to document requests
  • Attend scheduled hearings and appointments

Failure to cooperate may result in withdrawal of representation where permitted.

5. Fees

Fees for representation are governed by Social Security regulations and any written fee agreement executed between you and Starr Disability Advocates, LLC

We do not charge upfront representation fees unless permitted by law and disclosed in writing.

If separate services are offered (consultations, vocational reports, or other non-contingent services), those fees will be disclosed in advance.

6. Electronic Communications & SMS Consent

By providing your contact information, you consent to receive communications related to your case, including:

  • Phone calls
  • Emails
  • SMS/text messages
  • “SMS Consent is not shared with third parties (except SMS providers).”

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP.

SMS is not a secure method for transmitting sensitive personal or medical information. Clients agree not to transmit Social Security numbers or medical records via text.

7. Website Use

You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes.

You may not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Use the site to transmit malicious software
  • Submit false or misleading information
  • Copy or reproduce website content without permission

We reserve the right to suspend access for misuse.

8. Intellectual Property

Our liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount of fees paid to us for services rendered.

11. Termination of Services

We reserve the right to withdraw representation consistent with Social Security regulations and ethical obligations if:

  • A client fails to cooperate
  • A client provides false information
  • A conflict of interest arises
  • Continued representation becomes impractical

Clients may terminate services at any time in writing.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from these Terms or our services shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation.

If unresolved, disputes shall be governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Venue for any legal action shall be in the appropriate courts located in Kent County, Michigan.
